What a mess!!!

Tuesday, August 17

I love my kids and wouldn't trade them for anything .......but...... lately Than is testing Mommy's patience. Today was the third time I have had to clean up a diaster of a mess. First it was a few weeks ago mowing the lawn and Than is in the house dumping all Mommy's baking supplies:( Lesson learned and doors locked on house when mowing. Then a couple of days ago Than was playing upstairs apparently in the shampoo & soap in the bathroom.. But to top it off the day I forget to lock the bathroom door he showers himself with lotion..Good thing he had only a diaper on..Figured his hair needed to smell nice :)

Annual DAY WITH THOMAS trip :)

We made our second annual trip to Heritage Park's A DAY OUT WITH THOMAS... My rugrats are both obsessed with everything TRAINS... Makes 'Uncle' Eric pretty happy :)

It was a pretty windy and cold day but despite that the kids loved every minute of it :)

Following a recent weight loss goal we decided that new family pictures were in order and once again I was able to use the same photographer.. We did it in June in Red Deer at the Rotary Park Playground.. The kids had so much fun and very photogenic.. Although at one point Emma found sand toys & that was all she wanted to do was play..

JUMBLED...MIXED UP...CATCHING UP

Early this year I had the privilege of having a very talented photographer take some family pictures for us (much to Chad's chagrin). The first shoot was done in February in Red Deer.. The rugrats did very well for being cold and just wanting to play in general.. Although at points we had to persuade Emma to smile nice "like a princess" and Than constantly running off we got some excellent family photos and despite cold weather it was a fun time..

AMSTERDAM

What a refreshing trip.. MUCH NEEDED!! Although it was spent with two other individuals and there was some chaos and stress at the beginning overall it was a much needed trip for Chad & I.. The buildings were amazing, the climate somewhat ok and the culture fascinating but also not appealing at times. I'm not sure it would be my destination choice again but I did feel a week was not long enough to see all the places we would have liked to view.. But of what we did see it was amazing.. A zoo with no high fence around the monkey's, a famous brewery now a museum, one wax museum, some insane buildings and fries with mayo...

Time for new changes

I believe it's time for new changes and new faces... I am too constantly stressed out and overwhelmed feeling obligated to please everyone. In a sense accept that people can be very self absorbed and lacking manners. Why allow people in who have no respect or care anything about you when you continually treat them better than they in return deserve. I feel so much like a doormat. I choose not to say what should be rightfully said to the specific person to avoid conflict for myself or my family. I have thought much in the last few weeks about what I want & truly deserve....
